The space and time we spend in transit can give us a feeling of being in-between. Infrastructure, sounds and the people surrounding us throughout a commute often live in our subconscious. They create a familiar rhythm. Our bodies go from being perceptive to motored while our minds are tugged between what is left behind and what is to come.

A shift of gears takes place as we enter the state of being in-between. Glimpses of structures and occurrences might catch our attention but they are fleeting. I capture these moments in search of the transient feeling of being in-between. Within cities there is always this shared experience of moving. Our departure point or our destination, the sentiments left behind or those to come, at comfort or unease, all these are variables of a bigger picture that represents the collective need to move.
