Borne Aloft reflects a deeper inquiry into clothing as an extension of place and community. It is an invitation to reconsider our relationship with clothing and, in turn, with petroleum-based fibers. By removing the ‘fashion’ element from the garment trade, this shift would allow for clothing to become both a living expression of where you live, and a symbol of the community you belong to.
